Granite Shoals, Texas is a city seven miles west of Marble Falls in Burnet County. It is a popular destination for lake enthusiasts because it is home to 19 city parks on Lake LBJ. Granite Shoals is also well known for their Air Tours, Caving, Spelunking, Farmer’s Market, and Pick Your Own Produce.

The Highland Lakes, which are the largest chain of lakes in Texas, are heaven to outdoorsman. The Highland Lakes includes Inks, Marble Falls, Travis, LBJ, and Buchanan. These lakes contain vast variety of fish including catfish, bass, bream, and crappie. Not only are the Highland lakes excellent for fishing, but also for water recreation. All these activities can be enjoyed with a little music, which is a fundamental piece of life for the Texas Hill Country area. Music can be appreciated at Highland Lakes numerous live venues.

Stumpy Hollow Trail is a 1½- 2 hour long trail that the whole family can enjoy. The trail is located in Inks State Park. The Inks Lake can be seen on this trail. Longhorn Organic Farms and Hairston Creek Farm are good places to pick your own produce. Enjoy the outdoors by Horseback riding at Post Oak Farm. The rides lasts 1½ hour long and only costs $50 per person.
