H-E-B Snaps Up More Property in San Antonio
In another acquisition for the company, H-E-B has bought up about 22 acres of property in San Antonio.
The purchase, according to a recent report that cites county property records, involves vacant land at the intersection of De Zavala and JV Bacon Parkway. That spot is only 1.5 miles from the nearest H-E-B, located at De Zavala and I-10.
Dya Campos, a spokeswoman for the company, told MySanAntonio that the $21 billion company “doesn’t have any intentions” to start construction on the property immediately. It follows acquisitions in similar acreage over recent years that have not seen any bulldozers yet.
H-E-B serves over 150 communities and runs 370 stores already across the U.S. and Mexico, with new Hill Country openings occurring recently in Wimberley, Seguin, and Lakeway to go along with the South Flores Market concept store in San Antonio.
As we reported last week, the company is also planning a rare $2.7 million full-service gas station and boutique convenience store on Bandera Road.
