Christmas in July is something we can get behind. Especially when it’s 110 in the shade here in Texas, and a visit to someplace cool, even if it’s only in our minds, may help in the slightest. With the debut of Hallmark’s first two 2019 Christmas movies happening that month, it’s going to be that much easier! Hallmark is scheduled to warm your hearts this summer with two original holiday movies premiering July 7 and July 13, 2019.
“Christmas Camp” is the first to be featured at 9 p.m. on July 7, 2019. The film focuses on Lily Anne Harrison playing the lead as an advertising executive who is tasked with landing a toy company account. To do so and learn more about the holiday in the process, she registers for a camp event where she meets Bobby Campo, who stars as the son of the camp’s owner. He proceeds to teach her plenty about Christmas, the camp itself, and perhaps a little bit about love.

Then, on July 13, 2019, also at 9 p.m., “A Merry Christmas Match” will debut on the Hallmark Channel. It stars Kyle Dean Massey and Ashley Newbrough. This movie centers around a ski village resident (Newbrough) who works in an antique store owned by her mother. In honor of her late dad, she organizes an annual children’s Christmas pageant. Massey’s character, a man by the name of Ryder, visits the antique store, after which she wonders if she should have chased her own dreams of being a director in the theater instead of staying in her hometown.

The Hallmark Channel will be running two Christmas campaigns over the summer months, the first of which is the “Gold Crown Christmas,” happening June 28 through July 14, 2019. The second is “Keepsake Christmas,” which happens from July 12 to July 27, 2019. These two new releases are the first of the record 40 Christmas movies the channel is planning for their networks this year, starring such stars as Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, and Kristen Chenoweth.
