Hank Jr., Chris Stapleton Perform ‘Family Tradition’ Duet in The Woodlands

When you think of iconic Hank Williams Jr. songs, “Family Tradition” is one of those songs that quickly comes to mind, and is perhaps a staple in your go-to country music play lists. Hank performed the song as the finale to a live concert event in The Woodlands, TX, from the 2016 series featuring Jr. together with country music sensation, Chris Stapleton.

The crowd couldn’t resist singing along; some as loud as their already cheer-worn voices could sustain, going wild as the co-headliner joined Hank Jr. on stage for the finale, sending them into high gear. Chris’ wife, Morgane, also joined this top-billed country concert duo, and while Hank performed the lead on the song, Chris followed with a couple of supportive verses in his complimentary soulful style.

Hank Jr.’s four-disc “A Country Boy Can Survive Box Set” features this song together with so many more great Jr. standards that will have you singing right along in your own imaginary concert finale. Chris and Morgane will be making regular live event appearances throughout 2017, including the start of a new tour with Canadian dates beginning in mid-March and US dates commencing at the end of that same month.
