HGTV’s “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” Went to Galveston Where the Water is Fine

Focusing on families that want to take the plunge (literally) and move to the beachfront with a reasonable budget, the show “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” featured a family that wished to make the move from Kingwood to Galveston. Showing ample images of what beachfront living might be like on the Texas Gulf Coast, the show brought this part of south Texas to life for those who have never visited.

The concept is grand, isn’t it? You love the beach, you have the ability to move, so take the leap and buy the house. That’s exactly what this show’s concept is, and for those living in parts of Texas that are absolutely nowhere near the shore, this gives you a great idea of what you might expect.

“Beachfront Bargain Hunt” is described by HGTV as having the following concept: “Each week we follow a family making their beachfront living dreams come true — on a budget! We’ll follow them on the house hunt as we discover some of the most surprisingly affordable beachfront locales that prove you don’t need to be a millionaire to live right on the beach.” It airs weekly on Friday nights (check your local listings) and has featured a number of great beach properties from around the world. This particular clip was available on their YouTube channel, which features a variety of the great locales where they’ve filmed. The fact that Galveston made their list just proves what we knew all along…it’s time to take the plunge and live on the Texas Gulf Coast, where the water is fine.
