A Hill Country ‘Church in the Wildwood’ Reminds Us of Simpler Times
Average attendance at Sunday worship these days is about 50 welcoming, loving, and friendly people eager to share their historic building and long-held traditions with visitors and new residents alike. In an era of mega-churches and declining church membership this Advent church lighting program is a sweet and joyous occasion which will make anybody long for the simplicity of years past.

Some of the people here are members of the sister church, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. Others have an association with the church through family back to 1883 when 10 local men met to begin forming a congregation. Cave Creek Lutheran Church is 10 miles Northwest of Fredericksburg on FM 1631. Sunday Worship is at 10:30 a.m., visitors are welcome, and services are held in the English language. Nearby is Cave Creek School, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and open to the public periodically.
