The first-ever Hill Country Craft Beer Festival has been announced for April 20, featuring over 20 brewers and more than 100 different products for event-goers to try! Everything a lover of the Texas craft beer industry could want will be on-hand at this inaugural event coming in Gruene.

The Rockin’ R River Rides will be the setting for the festival at which guests can sip and mingle from 1 to 8 p.m., with food trucks on hand to support their appetites and provide the proper pairings. Live music will also set the tone for the event, which will be hosted by the Rotary Club of New Braunfels. At present, the lineup includes Phil Luna and the Lunatics, Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros, Copper Chief, and Drew Kennedy. This event will be for those 21-years-old and over. Proceeds will benefit the Sally M. Kingsbury Sarcoma Research Foundation.

The event tagline is that the festival is “known for quality beer, in a city known for quality fun.” With such an impressive craft beer industry as Texas is known for, how could it fail to have anything but high-end hops at its debut event? Niche breweries that draw in a different demographic are anticipated in the lineup, and legacy lagers that are potential award winners are also anticipated to attend. With such a great selection, it’s going to be tough to call with respect to the beers you must-try, but the likelihood of additional tasting purchases is strong.

The Hill Country Craft Beer Festival will be bringing in several independent brewers found state-wide, including such leading industry names as Alstadt and Freetail. Tickets are available online at the festival’s Eventbrite link, with general and VIP options to choose from. Guests will receive six three-ounce craft beer servings. VIPs will receive the same tastings in addition to private perks such as early event access, separate washrooms, tents, and swag bags! Further details can be found on the festival’s Facebook page.
