It is cold outside, and quite obvious that Texas has allowed old man winter to take up residence (at least for now). But that doesn’t mean we need to hide out in our toasty warm homes all week long! In fact, the weather should be warming up a little to coax you out the door and to one of these fine Texas Hill Country events. This week is full of fun and excitement!

Fiesta Winery Live Music on the Patio Enjoy some live music every Saturday and Sunday while you sip on Texas Hill Country’s very own wine! Be sure to pick up a bottle or two before you leave. Saturday 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. 6260 US Hwy E 290, Fredericksburg, Texas.

Bandera County Jr. Livestock Show Take a peek to see what the youth of Bandera County have to show off! There will be judging on cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, horses and a few special projects. Judging will take place on Thursday and Friday, and the auction will be held on Saturday. Lampasas County Youth Livestock Show Everyone seems to be showing off their livestock this weekend, and the Lampasas County youth are not to be excluded! See what they have been up to. shows and judging take place on Thursday and Friday; sale is at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. January 12-14, 2017. Llano County Jr. Livestock Show The FFA is hosting the Llano County Jr. Livestock Show & Sale this year. Head on out and support your youth! Shows will be held on Thursday and Friday. The sale will take place on Saturday at 6 p.m. January 12-14, 2017. John L. Kuykendall Event Center. 2200 West Ranch Road 152, Llano, Texas.

McCulloch County Jr. Livestock Show & Sale Hogs and heifers and sheep! Oh, my! And if you love goats or rabbits, they will be there, too. Serving the 4H and FFA youth of McCulloch County. Snow Day Enjoy a day with real snow at this Texas Hill Country winter wonderland! The Science Mill is hosting the Snow Day and is sponsored by H-E-B. Bring your mittens, hats, and gloves to enjoy snow-filled activities, and take a look at the museum and the 3D movie “Titans of the Ice Age.” when you need to take the chill off.
