BOERNE BERGES FEST COOKOFF & AUCTION Celebrate the rich German culture found right here in the Texas Hill Country with a parade, the Miss Berges Fest Pageant, a washer pitching tournament, an egg toss, wheel barrow races, dachshund races, a watermelon eating contest, little tractor races, a cookoff, and a dance. CLASSIC SOAP BOX DERBY It’s time for the grown folk to have a little fun! The Classic Soap Box Derby is an annual adult event that mixes creativity and adult competitive race action. The categories include derby cars, skateboards, and longboards. There will be food, live music, craft vendors, parade, evening street dance, awards. FUN & FABULOUS DERBY HAT CONTEST What’s a derby race without an over-the-top fancy hat to cheer on the racers and keep the sun out of your eyes? In association with the Classic Soap Box Derby event listed above, the Fun & Fabulous Derby Hat Contest has two categories: Traditional and Outrageous! A trophy will be awarded to the  first place winners. The children’s division is just for fun and does not include a competition. Registrations will only be accepted in person at the event.
