The sixth annual Hill Country Harvest Market at Dripping Springs is scheduled for October 13 and 14 this year, and it’s become a favorite, fun tradition for locals. If you’re all about finding quality, handmade and artisan products or gifts for the holidays, this is your one-stop-shop. It showcases vendor-made items from across Texas, many of which you can’t find at your local mall or big-box store. These products and gifts are the very livelihoods of the Harvest Market vendors, and as such, they’re made with care and attention to detail.

Getting out to an artisan market at this time of year simply can’t be beaten! There’s always a strong prospect of discovering a unique find that will be just right for a certain special someone, and the chance to shop Texas-made stimulates our economy. Not only that, but your opportunity to give back to the community is also a part of the Hill Country Harvest Market. The good people at the Texas Market Guide, who coordinate this wonderful event every year, have partnered with the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Dripping Springs for a non-perishable food program. It saves shoppers on the cost of admission while allowing them to donate to families in need. By bringing a canned good or another non-perishable food item to the market, you’ll save $1 on your admission, and all of the donations will be provided to the Helping Hands Food Pantry to feed the families of those less fortunate.

The Hill Country Harvest Market has a strong history in the area, being the very first arts and crafts show at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park. Situated at 1042 Event Center Drive, (on RR 12 across from Dripping Springs Elementary) in Dripping Springs, Texas, this event has returned each year, growing bigger and better. They maintain a list of great vendors from throughout the Lone Star State, featuring such items as gourmet food, clothing and accessories, handmade jewelry, western art, gifts, and so much more! Plus, the timing couldn’t be better for getting you into the Christmas shopping spirit (if you haven’t already started!). The holiday and home décor items alone are worth the trip, and the vendors make this a wonderful shopping experience, complete with curated items every true Texan will love!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, the Hill Country Harvest Market is waiting to share special treats with you and yours that will fill the void – and then some! There are even diabetic-friendly items that your loved ones will welcome. Vendors at this market also carry some of the top trends in today’s handmade clothing, jewelry, and accessory items, which you’ll be unable to find in nearby stores.

For a great girlfriends’ getaway of shopping, snacking, and enjoying a good time together, the Hill Country Harvest Market is a perfect option. By bringing a non-perishable food item to the market and saving on admission, you’ll be helping local families who might otherwise have a difficult time making ends meet during the holidays. The benefits of sharing with those who are less fortunate than ourselves equals if not outweighs the joy your loved ones will experience in receiving the gifts you purchase for them, handmade right here in Texas!
