Many of us wait until the last minute to head to Party City or a Halloween store to pick up whatever costume is left to take part in the spookiest time of year. But some people go above and beyond with planning their costumes, which is why the show “Live With Kelly and Ryan” is hosting a Halloween contest with six finalists who you can vote on here.

But before you vote, you should know that the woman wearing the Hot Cheeto costume is a San Antonio native who recently moved to Houston named Meredith Hayden. According to KSAT, she is “…one of three finalists in the ‘handmade’ category. She made a Spicy Hot Cheeto costume out of chicken wire, felt, wine, red and orange spray paint and about 15 cans of foam insulation.” The news writes that she’s planning a wedding so the prize of a $5,000 Amazon Gift Card would help out greatly with the festivities. She’ll have to beat out a cute Pacman and Ms. Pacman couples’ costume and a large “Night Walker” creature that will send chills down your spine.

Additionally, in the “boxtume” category are two more Texans (on the same team) with very impressive outfits. “Two women from Cat Spring created Chanel purses from boxes, duct tape, and quilted imitation leather,” KSAT writes. They’ll need your votes to defeat a camera costume and a box of noodles.
