Horse and Ballerina Have Dance Off in Stunning Video

When Instinct Of Color came out a little while ago, it blew our minds. A horse and a ballerina having a dance off?

Could a horse even move its legs that quickly?

We were amazed to see Lady in Black (the horse) trot out the stage with such grace and movement like the ballerina that opposed her, in the animated promo that eventually sees the horse do Michael Jackson’s moonwalk. That’s some truly fancy footwork.

According to Mathematic.tv, the beauty of the video comes down to special effects:

“We animated, rendered and tracked 3D legs into many of the shots showing the horse making a series of complicated dance moves. The goal was to have a seamless photorealistic look to both animation and render. The 3D model was painstakingly matched to that of the real horse, which was then followed by our talented team of animators that worked to replicate realistic movements based on the footage of the original horse.”

But to see is to believe, and the video sure made believers out of us for a second.
