Hospice Aid Sings Beautiful Rendition of Hymn for Ailing Patient

Before she passed away, hospice patient Mary Redmond was serenaded by a hospice aid, Joshua Woodard with the beautiful hymn, “How Great Thou Art”. What makes this beautiful video even more special?

Mary was once a voice and piano teacher, and Joshua was one of her students. Mary’s daughter-in-law captured this video of Joshua serenading his former teacher and posted it to Facebook, where she told the world the news about Joshua’s relationship to his hospice care patient.

“How Great Thou Art” is a beautiful Christian hymn that, in this case, helped to guide Mary Adkins Redmond home from her hospice bed. Hospice aids have one of the hardest jobs in the world: they must constantly keep a smile on their face and positivity in their hearts when dealing with both hospice patients and their families alike.
