The CBS special “A Home For the Holidays” ran its 18th consecutive year this season, featuring positive stories about not only Christmas but also on foster care and adoption, raising awareness around these important issues. Miranda Lambert headlined the show which paid moving tributes to many families that have adopted children through the foster parent system.

The show aired December 23rd on CBS at 8 p.m. ET, and Miranda performed songs from her recently released, sixth full-length album, “The Weight of These Wings.” She also included the following hit from her “Revolution” album, “The House That Built Me.”

Miranda was a great pick to host, and the shows adoption and foster care features were not only heartwarming but poignant. Miranda will set out on her Highway Vagabond tour in 2017, performing songs from her latest album with a sprinkling of hits from prior releases. “The Weight of These Wings” is presently at number three on the Top Country Albums chart, and her recent release, “We Should be Friends” sits at number 44 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Miranda’s Highway Vagabond tour will kick off in Evansville, IN, on January 26, 2017.
