Those who brave the Houston heat and humidity to don their workout gear and go for a run can rejoice in more than their fitness commitment. They can also boast that they have access to two of the most loved running routes in the United States. According to Men’s Fitness, Under Armour used data from their fitness app called MapMyRun to compile a comprehensive list of the most popular and loved running paths.

KHOU says that the two winning routes are the Memorial Park Loop (number one out of 20) and Rice University Loop (number 10). Memorial Park, which spans about 2.95 miles and  “takes an average of 32 minutes to run” takes the cake “for being one of the country’s largest urban parks with a view of the iconic Williams Tower.” The most popular time and day to conquer the trail is on Mondays around 6 p.m.

The other top route, the Rice University Loop, is flanked by gorgeous old oak trees, measures 2.99-miles long, and takes the average runner 30 minutes to complete. The only other Texas running route to make the MapMyRun list is the Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail in Austin. It includes a 3-mile journey that gives amazing views of the downtown skyline and Lady Bird Lake.
