How to Make a Tiki Torch From a Wine Bottle

There are a lot of life hacks out there, but none quite as beautiful as this one. This hack teaches you how to make a tiki torch from a wine bottle. It’s quite simple and only requires a few materials.

Save up a few of your wine bottles, and you’ve already got the most important piece. You’ll also need sand, any type of lamp fuel, cotton rope, and a drill and cork or a bottle cap and a knife.

First, fill the bottom two-thirds of the wine bottles with sand. You can also use rocks or pebbles if you so choose.

Then, grab your lighter fluid (the person in the video uses mosquito repellant tiki fluid) and fill up the remainder of the bottle.

Next, you’ll want to take a cork, and drill a hole through it that you can string the cotton rope through. Another option is to puncture a hole through a beer bottle cap and pull the rope through that instead.

Lastly, you’ll want to let the rope hang in the lighter fluid for some time so that it soaks up as much fluid as possible.

That’s it — you’re done! Take your new wine bottle tiki torches outside, grab your lighter, set them aflame and enjoy the beautiful results.
