Tuesday marked the ribbon cutting ceremony for Hulu’s new Viewer Experience Operations headquarters in San Antonio. MySA.com reports that San Antonio Economic Development Foundation CEO and President Jenna Saucedo-Herrera visited the Hulu campus in California earlier this year, and she was impressed by the pleasant environment created by having music piped-in, an onsite cafeteria, and places for employees to relax.

KENS 5 writes that the new San Antonio campus is Hulu’s largest outside of California headquarters and it even features a Selena mural. Employees will take care of customer service issues 24/7 and conduct account analysis. Five hundred new employees will be employed on the new campus, and while 300 roles are already filled, Hulu is still looking to bring on more people from entry level to management. “We’ll have more than 500 people here by August of next year. Right now we’re mostly limited by the space, so we’re in the third floor of this building right now. August of next year we’ll open up the second floor,” Ben Smith, senior vice president of Experience at Hulu, told MySA.com.

Officials are thrilled that companies like Hulu are looking at San Antonio. Nelson Wolff, Bexar County Judge, told KENS 5, “This kind of puts us on the map. As you know the world is changing so fast…more and more is going to streaming, less going to the cable. It’s sort of the future and now we’re part of that future.”

It's official! The new San Antonio Hulu office is open! #hulusanantonio #hulu #huluganlife
