The 2019 Menard Hunter’s Blowout Ball is scheduled for Saturday, November 2, and it’s sure to be an evening you won’t want to miss! The event is expected to draw guests in the hundreds as the largest of its kind in the area. It will be held at Club Victoria in Menard, here in the Texas Hill Country, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Archery season for white-tailed deer in Menard is open from September 28 through November 1 this year. In addition, the general season opens on November 2, 2019 and runs to January 5, 2020. In celebration of the opening of this season, the Hunter’s Blowout Ball hopes to be the start of good luck for all of this year’s sportsmen and women, ushering in a prosperous hunt for many a Texas family.

Located on the beautiful banks of the San Saba River, Menard has a gorgeously temperate climate, which makes the area prime for farming and ranching. It’s also widely known for amazingly scenic views, incredible local history, and an abundance of wildlife—making it the perfect place to hunt. In addition to turkey, dove, and quail, Menard is famous for some of the best white-tailed deer hunting in Texas. With more than 400K acres open to hunters, the area supports the sport and its enthusiasts. That’s never more evident than at the kick-off of gun season with the Menard Hunter’s Blowout Ball.

The event is B.Y.O.B. for those 21 years of age and older, with a $15 admission for adults (children under 10 are $5). Thousands of dollars in prizes will be distributed during the Menard Hunter’s Blowout Ball, through special and bucket raffles. The special raffle features a 26 Nosler M48 Patriot bolt-action rifle, together with a Burris Veracity riflescope, with tickets priced at $15 for one, or two for $25. Additional chances to win in the bucket raffles (at $1 per ticket) include more than 20 guns. There will also be a penny raffle, card raffle, and the chance to win a flag that flew over the Texas capitol building, which was donated by Senator Perry.

Held at Club Victoria in Menard, this is one unique event you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re into hunting (for which Menard is famous), or your family simply loves a great night out that benefits the community, you’re going to want to bring your appetite, your dancing boots, and your lucky rabbit’s foot! Chili, beans, rice, and tamales, with all the trimmings, are on the menu. Wagon Aces will be performing some great dancing tunes, and your chance to win big just might be in the cards.
