Jordan Jalen Evans is a Corpus Christi native who earned her bachelors degree from the University of North Texas at the fresh age of 19.

Evans has accomplished something little can claim before their 20th birthday. She’s only 19 years old with a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of North Texas, and she’s debt-free. This incredible accomplishment isn’t the end for Evans, either.

On Thursday, May 18, Evans will interview with the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program to find out if she will be accepted into the program by her 20th birthday.

As the Corpus Christi Caller Times reported, Evans “is the first in her family to earn a high school diploma and a college degree.” As an only child, Evans earned a prestigious spot at Collegiate High School, which allowed her to earn both her high school diploma and associates degree at the exact same time.

Her hard work is in dedication to her mother, a single parent. Evans earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of North Texas so she was able to graduate completely debt-free. She told the Corpus Christi Caller Times, “I am very proud that I’ve set a path for the rest of my family. I have proved to them that we can do it and that it is possible.”

Congratulations, Jordan Jalen Evans! Your future is already shining so brightly!
