2022 Infiniti QX 55 Essential AWD: A Sporty and Stylish Vehicle

QX 55 is powered by a 2.0-Liter Variable Compression Turbo Engine producing 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, encouraged by a continuously variable automatic transmission. Admittedly, the gear shift was a little jerky and slow.

The QX 55 delivers 22-mpg city, 28-mpg highway for a combined 25-mpg. My tester did 0-60 in 6.4 seconds. This is not quick to some folks, but once you get up a little steam, it is not so bad. The QX 55 is a coupe-style crossover SUV.

Inside authentic leather creates a soft, comfortable cabin. Front seats are wide and cushy with power lumbar.

Intelligent key with Push Button Ignition gets you started. Leather wrapped, heated steering wheel with paddle shifters complement the attractive, comfortable seating that is assisted with memory.

The inside feels luxurious with the aluminum trim accents. Dual Zone automatic climate control keeps everyone comfortable. While Wireless Apple CarPlay Integrated with Wi-Fi Hotspots keep you in communication with the world.

I would like to have seen better resolution in the infotainment graphic. There is above average cargo space (26.9 cub) with this competitive coupe-style SUV.

The Power Moonroof allows you to view the outside while the power rear liftgate allows for quick loading and unloading of cargo.

QX 55 sits on all season Run-Flat Tires and 20-inch Dark Painted and machine finished aluminum wheels.

Outside my test vehicle was painted Hermosa Blue with roof rails. The sloping roofline creates a coupe-like profile. LED fog lights and LED signature daytime running lights help the driver to focus more easily on events up ahead.

Infiniti makes a priority by offering numerous standard safety features like High Beam Assist, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Warning.

Infiniti QX 55 sits just about in the middle of the coupe style SUV pack. The MSRP of $51,600 is in-line with competitors.
