Despite the fact that cold temperatures have made their presence known this winter here in Texas, there’s a revolutionary new way to kick back, relax, and enjoy a cold snack despite the temperatures outside. And it’s got a rather adult ring to it. Jack and Coke popsicles!
You heard that correctly. @boulderlocavore came up with a way to be an adult but still get the giddy sensation of having your own popsicles like when you were kids. When mom used to freeze what was left of the Kool-Aid or juice, you know you’d come running from whatever sprinkler or kiddie pool y’all were hanging out around. Well, now as adults, you won’t necessarily come running, but you’ll have a sort of ace-in-the-hole with these little beauties in the back of your freezer.

Posted on her blog, Boulder Locavore, Toni Dash has found a way to combine out childhood love of something cool and refreshing on a hot day with our adult love of…well, alcohol. The flavors combine nicely, as you would guess, and if you’re looking for a sweet treat to beat the heat, this is your ticket! The only things you’ll require are popsicle sticks and molds, and the key ingredients suggested by the treat’s title. There are, however, some key steps that Dash recommends, so do follow the instructions she provides on her blog – a link to which is provided here. And, that’s all there is to have the adult equivalent to a freshie freezie, complete with brain-freeze if you don’t watch out!
