Born Jacquelyn Ellen Smith in Houston, Texas, actress and clothing line entrepreneur Jaclyn Smith known for her role in “Charlie’s Angels” as Kelly Garrett – the only one to remain with the full series which aired from 1976 to 1981.

While continuing on with her television and film career (having roles in “The Bourne Identity” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” as well as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”) in 1985, she became an entrepreneur through the introduction of her women’s apparel collection for Kmart. She led the concept of women celebrities designing their own brands as opposed to simply endorsing others. In May of 2009, a documentary crew profiled her life, design concept and her working relationship with Kmart in an online video series which was sponsored by the company, following the introduction of her home furnishings and the Jaclyn Smith Today line of bath and bedding accessories.

Shared on the JDS PR YouTube Channel, CBS Sunday morning featured Smith and her entrepreneurial spirit in a segment on their popular weekly show. Having also launched a wig collection via Paula Young Wigs called STYLE by Jaclyn Smith, her business savvy comes shining through with concepts inspired by hair stylist José Eber, making popular hair styles also affordable. She recently featured her daughter and grandchild in a commercial made for Kmart, and continues to pursue her interests both on, and off the screen. From Texas, to Angel, to entrepreneur, Jaclyn Smith has done it all with flair, passion, wit, and planning, and we all, quite possibly, have something in our homes or closets that was inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit!
