Canine Companions for Independence works to provide assistance dogs for children and adults as well as veterans with disabilities, including adults who are hard of hearing or deaf and professionals who work with groups of people with disabilities. The Snoopy Pop game was created in close partnership with the animators, artists, and storytellers at Peanuts Worldwide as a free-to-play game designed for mobile devices, whereby players can help rescue Woodstock and his flock of birds who are trapped in bubbles. The game is available in the App Store and via Google Play, and according to Josh Yguado, co-founder, president, and COO of Jam City, the company is “proud to be launching a game with one of the world’s most iconic brands. Creating a game with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang has been a labor of love for our artists, storytellers, and technical teams. Canine Companions enhances independence by providing highly trained assistance dogs to veterans and people with disabilities.”

Jean Schulz, widow of Charles M. Schulz and National Board Member and Chair Emeritus of Canine Companions for Independence said, “Supporting Canine Companions for Independence has a special place in my heart, and this Snoopy Pop collaboration is a fun way to do just that.” The Snoopy Pop game features challenging and varied puzzles, characters, worlds and events, and new levels, as well as classic storylines, characterized power-ups, and sweet alternate personas such as Snoopy’s Masked Marvel and The Flying Ace.

Of the game and the partnership with Jam City, Roz Nowicki, Executive Vice President of Peanuts Worldwide said, “Snoopy Pop is just the type of interactive experience that we love, that bridges Peanuts into this new digital age. We are also thrilled that Jam City is supporting Canine Companions for Independence, a charity near and dear to the hearts of both Charles and Jeannie Schulz. The demand for highly trained assistance dogs is ongoing and growing and this will help CCI bring additional dogs to those in need.” The Lone Star Chapter is an official Canine Companions for Independence Volunteer Chapter, which is located in Dallas, Texas.
