Who doesn’t instantly know that old classic shark music that accompanied the iconic film “Jaws”? For some, it is a sound that makes you smile, but for many, it strikes instant fear in the minds of those that saw the film and were forever changed when near water. Regardless of your reaction, the film has a following and has been described as a cult classic.

Throw-back film events regularly feature the movie and this summer is no different. What better way to experience this classic Spielberg film than on beautiful and placid Lake Travis in Austin. Imagine floating after dark in the still waters of Lake Travis, sipping a drink and hanging with some friends while you watch the film on a big screen at Volente Beach Water Park.

Jaws on the Water lands in Austin the week of June 30th and will play all three “Jaws” films on different nights. Brought to you by Birth. Movies. Death. Events and Alamo Draft House, Jaws on the Water should prove to be an outing on the lake you won’t soon forget.

You can buy tickets here for screenings between June 30th and July 23rd. Alamo Draft House will provide you a shark float with each ticket purchased that you can keep after the show.

They will also have “Jaws” glass mugs for purchase with tickets. Don’t forget to invite your friends. Venturing out alone on the water never turns out well in the movies! Are you brave enough? We hope so! We’ll see you there!
