When Waco stars Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that they were ending their “Fixer Upper” show on HGTV, their fans bemoaned its finale. However, although the family stopped working on that project (which led to their fame), it didn’t mean they were going off the air for good. As a surprising alternative, the Gaines family skyrocketed to popularity through their many projects, which included their Magnolia empire in their hometown, books, a magazine, and a highly successful social media network. But that wasn’t the only “network” they were about to master. Announcing the commencement of their foray into television, Chip and Joanna set out to coordinate a lifestyle network with shows slated to be identified throughout 2020. And rumor has it, one of The Magnolia Network’s (as it’s called) intriguing new programs might be a cooking show, featuring none other than Joanna Gaines herself.

At present, there are no home renovation shows slotted for release on The Magnolia Network. The premise for the two shows which have recently been announced or hinted-at are definitely intriguing and certainly follow the Gaines brand mindset. “Home on the Road” will follow Johnnyswim, the band that Chip and Joanna love. The husband-and-wife duo of Amanda and Abner Ramirez will be featured in a reality TV setting, steering through life’s challenges on the road and having their two children along for the ride. The second show (which is yet to be named) was recently hinted about through clues that Joanna left on her Instagram Stories.

Fans went nuts when the 41-year-old revealed an image of a well-organized spice rack with a professional camera placed in front of it. With that, another post noted, “It’s like Christmas in the basement of the gristmill (any guesses what’s happening here?)” featuring a photo of the family’s matriarch with a spatula in hand, smiling and surrounded by heavy-duty kitchen equipment. Add to that a post showing video equipment inside the same grist mill, which led the editors of Country Living to guess that a cooking show featuring Joanna Gaines would be based in this 130-year-old Texas building. Although the details are still under lock-and-key for the time being, fans are eagerly awaiting the formal announcement of what they believe will be one of the coolest new cooking shows to hit TV yet – a Joanna Gaines original.
