There are concerts that make you feel a certain way, and then there are concerts that you could never forget. Johnny Cash’s performance on February 24, 1969, at San Quentin prison in California is exactly one of those unforgettable moments.

In this awesome clip of Johnny and June performing the ever-classic “Jackson”, we see just how their love was still blooming, despite what the song lyrics might say. Married not quite a year yet, the newlyweds have an electric connection that brightens up the stage.

These two know how to move the crowd, that’s for sure, and they seem completely at home on stage. The crowd goes wild, and for good reason. Johnny and June, the ultimate country music pair, just can’t keep a smile off their faces as they sing this poking fun ballad to one another.

Interestingly enough, this song didn’t make the final cut for the original record, At San Quentin. It also didn’t make 2000 CD reissue, but instead finally landed on the 2006 legacy edition, which basically covered their entire set list.

Now, it’s time to kick back, relax, and let Johnny and June take you back to the good ol’ days where all you had to do to getaway was get married in a fever and saunter down to Jackson.
