“Happiness really does come in a yellow box, folks!” Kendra Scott, a well known local jewelry designer, said over the speaker in the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. On Friday, a video was uploaded to the Kendra Scott Facebook page showing Southwest Airlines passengers on their way to Chicago receiving a fun surprise to make their spirits bright. Scott handed out small gifts in bright yellow bags and boxes to each person boarding the plane, leaving each passenger to break out in a thankful grin.

KXAN reports that the Southwest Airlines and Kendra Scott collaboration didn’t end there. While on the flight, passengers were treated to free spirits (AKA adult beverages). And once they landed in Chicago, they were greeted by Santa Claus wearing a Kendra Scott-brand yellow suit and five huge boxes tumbling down the luggage carousel holding more jewelry gifts for the lucky folks who traveled from Austin that day.

“This was the best day ever. You helped our trip just get off to a beautiful start. Thank you, Kendra,” a passenger told the news. On Facebook, those who weren’t a part of the surprise were still singing Scott’s praises. Bev Ferguson wrote, “What a great and thoughtful marketing idea! Certainly motivates me to shop at your stores. Plus your jewelry is beautiful!”
