For those that love to rock n’ roll all night in San Antonio, but who now think a primo plate of food in a rockin’ family atmosphere is the way to live it up, feast your eyes and appetites on Rock & Brews; a restaurant chain owned in part by KISS band members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. According to this rapidly growing restaurant chain’s website, the concept of Rock & Brews was developed in the summer of 2010, when concert promoter Dave Furano met Simmons and Stanley backstage.
The topic du jour was what else? “How well beer and rock music go together.” And so began the roller coaster ride that was the formation of this phenomenal food endeavor, including a location in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico and 10 US locations – number 10 being at the home of the San Antonio Spurs, the AT&T Center.

Marketed as high energy combined with quality American comfort food, Rock & Brews identifies with classic menu items such as wings, sandwiches and burgers married with the growing craft beer culture. Stanley and Simmons, together with co-founders Michael Zislis and Dave & Dell Furano, envisioned a family-friendly dining and entertainment experience, with its roots in rock and roll. As is the case in many business ideas, combining the two interests could have been a one-hit wonder, but the growth of the chain has progressed so successfully, it’s proven to be a hit. Concert lighting and music-themed art enhance the overall fan experience and aims to provide patrons with the rock star treatment.

The AT&T Centre recently underwent a $110 million renovation including streamlined access and entry, new seating, additional concession and a more modern look, and the opening of Rock & Brews, with Paul Stanley singing the national anthem during the December 11 Spurs/Lakers game, was the alley-oop of it all! With a creative spin on fresh, quality food together with several diet-conscious, gluten-free and healthy options, not to mention a special menu for “li’l rockers,” Rock & Brews is the ultimate triple threat.
