UPDATE:  The tasting room is closed until further notice, but they’re still doing curbside pickup and online orders

Amid the recent COVID-19 and coronavirus health concerns, Kuhlman Cellars, in the Texas Hill Country, is bringing a virtual tasting room to its wine lovers. Including shipping and complimentary wine webinars with the purchase of online wine bundles, their business is focused on “wine, food, family and friendship,” and as such, they’re putting their best foot forward with respect to allowing those who love Texas wine to continue their passion from the comfort of their own home. With social distancing becoming a regular practice at this point in time, that would be music to an oenophile’s ears!

Beginning this week (March 20, 2020), Kuhlman Cellars will host its virtual tasting room and wine webinars on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, which are included with the purchase of two new bundles (each with their own webinar). On purchase, customers get a link to book their complimentary virtual wine tasting webinar.

The two wine bundles which are currently being offered consist of Alluve You, Two ($89, with shipping included) in which two of the winery’s bestselling wine (Alluvé), an extra-large jar of Kuhlman Cellars’ signature Marcona almonds are available, as well as Peace, Love, Happiness, and Joy. This second bundle (at $84, with shipping included) includes the award-winning 2018 Estate White, 2018 Hensell Rosé, and Kuhlman Cellars’ bestseller 2016 Alluvé plus a small jar of the winery’s Marcona almonds. The former provides access to the All About Alluvé webinar, and the latter includes such topics as evaluating what each of the clues hidden in wine mean, what does it mean when our wine has legs, and whether swirling your wine even matters. Such topics make for a well-rounded offering in the virtual tasting room.

“Kuhlman Cellars is a community centered around wine, food, family and friendship. While everyone might not be able to visit the winery in person and perhaps soon no one can, we can still connect as a community in our own space. Coming together, slowing down, breaking bread and sharing a glass is a cornerstone of our ideals. We support each other during trials and we do not journey alone,” explained Kuhlman Cellars co-founder, Chris Cobb. “We want to make it easy for you to order and receive wine, but more importantly, we want to connect, socialize and support each other. These webinars are the first in a series of activities we will deploy to help us all through the coming days.”

For those practicing social distancing yet still moving about individually or in tiny groups, Kuhlman Cellars has an abundance of open-air patio tables for guests to be able to enjoy their wine out in the fresh air. In addition, they’re offering curbside service for online order pick-up in the interest of health and safety for not only their team but their guests as well. Online orders of more than $75 will have their shipping included.

Kuhlman Cellars believes wine promotes an appreciation of life’s journey. Lifelong wine lovers Chris and Jennifer Cobb founded the estate vineyard to produce terroir-driven wines of the highest quality. Together with French winemaker and Texas wine pioneer, Bénédicte Rhyne, they’ve been crafting wine representative of Old-World winemaking principles since 2014. Located in the heart of the Texas wine country, Kuhlman Cellars’ tasting room is on the famed Hwy 290 Wine Trail between Fredericksburg and Johnson City.
