The growing community of Lake Houston is expanding by leaps and bounds. Located just 15 miles northeast of downtown Houston, TX. Not only is it a beautiful destination to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but it has one of the most picturesque lake views in Texas.

With plans to build even more beautiful lakeside homes and add schools to accommodate its growing community, there has also been a growth in the number of eateries calling this quintessential place home. Below are a few of the variety of selections from around the globe introducing Lake Houston to their varied and tasteful menu options to delight any pallet.

There won’t be a lack of variety to choose from among the number of new restaurants calling Lake Houston Home. Authentic, and soon to be favorites among its residents. From Mexican to Indian to Korean, and even a specialty meat market will provide selections of one-of-kind delicacies to tempt your taste buds.

In a recent interview with the, Gaby Ortiz said that she brought her restaurant El Kiosko to share her “classic homemade recipes and spread the taste of authentic cuisine from Monterrey.” Some of the more popular favorites you will find on the menu here include popular Mexican treats such as fresh-made smoothies, and the traditional troles, Mexican shaved ice, according to El Kiosko.

The Curry House is bringing the taste of Indian food offering unique delicacies from South and North India. LK Reedy, the owner, shared with that “each recipe was hand selected from the familiar tastes he grew up with, making his restaurant offer flavors regularly found in an Indian household but tweaked a little to accommodate more customers.”

The Kingwood Meat Market will offer fresh meats and poultry along with the opportunity to pick up fresh home made tortillas and special breakfast tacos to start your day off. A family owned business to make you feel right a home as you shop for your grocery needs.

The Taste of Korea will offer the best of Korean food among its authentic menu options. A popular dish that will be offered is the “Hot Stone Bowl.” It consists of seven different vegetables with your choice of beef, chicken or pork, and a Korean staple of putting an egg on top.
