This fun vacation video of kayaking in Lake Travis and hiking and swimming around Jacob’s Well will make you want to drop what you’re doing and head for the Hill Country.

Lake Travis was created in 1942 when the Mansfield Dam was built, and serves as the main flood control point of the Highland Lakes. It is a popular watersports location from fishing to skiing, and is stocked with bass, catfish and more.

Jacob’s Well is the largest underwater cave in Texas. Discovered by early settlers, in the mid 1800’s, it is an amazing sight to see,  known as one of the most dangerous dive spots in the world, and one of the most beautiful swimming holes in Texas, with numerous chambers running with fresh water, something its been doing for thousands of years. At one point in time, Jacob’s Well pushed out more than 170 gallons per second, but now is calm enough for anyone to enjoy.
