If you are looking for some wine and relaxation, look no further than Lake Travis Wine Trader where apparently “everybody knows your name”. Lake Travis Wine Trader is known as a great gathering place to party with friends and spend the day tasting a large variety of wines and cheeses. Time your visit to coincide with the “Big Winos” event and you can sample some fine upscale wines worth more than $200 a bottle, or schedule your visit the same time as the winemakers and vineyard owners come in to promote their products. Great discounts are offered on prices so bring all your friends.
After all your activity at the marina, the bowling alley, or flyboarding, wine and cheese alone may not quite satisfy your ravenous appetite. But never fear! In Lakeway, the list of local restaurants reads like a supreme smorgasbord of endless feast selections. This town’s culinary menus are of such variety as to satisfy any palate.
If oriental-style is what you are hungry for, Pao’s Mandarin House and the Sakura Sushi and Bar will feed that hunger. General Tso’s chicken, hot and spicy dumplings, or sushi and lotus rolls will surely spice up your day.
Just need time to relax? The laid-back Grumpy Grouper bar may be just the place to unwind with some great barbecue and live music. Don’t miss the Little Greek just because it is slightly hidden away in a shopping center in Lakeway. They serve great gyros and healthy Greek menu items either indoors or outdoors–depending on the intensity of the Texas heat.
