This costume is about as simple as it gets. A little eye-black, mascara, or dark eyeshadow painted around a single eye and combined with a shirt brandished with the letter “P” instantly transforms you into a walking, talking black-eyed pea. Is it the most original costume? Probably not. But, it will definitely be a conversation piece at any party.
2. A Bunch of Grapes

This costume might require slightly more work than the previous one, but in the grand scheme of things, it is still a simple outfit to put together. For this piece, you will need:
- Several balloons (green or purple)
- Safety Pins
- 2 or 3 30-Gallon Trashbags
- A friend to help you put together your costume
Also optional for this costume are clothes that match the balloon color you chose and green felt to create the stem piece. For a tutorial on how to put this costume together, just follow this link. Something to keep in mind if you do choose this costume is whether or not you will need to sit down. You may find riding in a car to be extremely difficult, especially if you attempt to keep your balloons from popping. Therefore, we suggest you wait until you have reached your destination before pinning the balloons to your clothing.
