In 1960 the intersection of Loop 1604 and Interstate 35 was concidered to be the center of the city of Live Oak. Live Oak was founded in the midst of gentle rolling hils in an area of rich farming and ranching. Live Oak evolved into peaceful residential area with shopping centers, major medical complexas and hospital, college campuses and financial institutions.
Live Oak is in Bexar County, Texas, United States. The population was 15,116 in 2014. It is considered part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Area. Many of the residents have lived in Live Oaks for over 10 years.
