Deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, in a town brimming with charm, you and your family can have a true Texas Christmas experience! The town of Llano sets aside time on their calendar to light their local courthouse for the holidays and set up their Starry Starry Nights event, an annual affair in the Hill Country featuring snow (yes, snow!), lights, and a visit from Santa Claus!

Llano’s Starry Starry Nights runs every night, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., right through until New Year’s Eve, complete with a wonderful small-town feel, coated in lights galore! Located in Badu Park, the display is seen by visitors from all over Texas, who make the trip each year. This is one magical Christmas experience you don’t want to miss.

Quite possibly the most exciting part of Starry Starry Nights is the special visit from Santa Claus each Friday and Saturday, from 6 – 8 p.m. until December 21, 2019. Kids (and even pets) can have their picture taken with Santa at various times throughout the event, as well as have their Christmas wish lists heard! All the while, kids and parents can sip hot chocolate and even make s’mores! This free event is put on each year by dedicated Llano volunteers who work hard to create magic and memories for families in attendance. It’s free to stroll through the Starry Starry Nights display at Badu Park, with its lighted archways and amazingly lighted path by the river, in addition to its lighted Christmas displays. Donations are always appreciated to support these efforts and to ensure it continues to be an annual Hill Country Christmas tradition. For more information, visit the link available here or the Starry Starry Nights in Llano, Texas Facebook page. Don’t miss the Christmas magic in this charming Hill Country town!
