Texas Hill Country firefighters and first responders work tirelessly to keep our communities safe and healthy. Many of them are volunteers, with a mission to support their home communities often with limited resources. The Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department is one such example. Due to an increase in commercial development in their part of Central Texas, they’ve seen an increase in calls to approximately 300 per year. With an uptick in activity comes an amplified strain on the department and its crew, which sees the majority of its annual budget come from private donations. Signor Vineyards, a local vineyard in the Texas Hill Country, recognizing that demand on both the human and financial resources of the department and its men and women, coordinated a fundraising hotdog cookout at their property, and they donated a check to the Stonewall VFD for $836.98.

Signor Vineyards is a boutique family vineyard featuring world-class charcuterie and wine. It’s situated nicely on Livesay Lane, in Fredericksburg, in the Texas Hill Country, just off the famed Wine Road 290. With beautiful French country gardens and farmhouse shopping at Joanna’s Market, its picturesque grounds have hosted some amazing wine tastings, but this most recent event was close to the heart for its staff. “We at the Signor family are happy to support the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department for all the selfless work they do to keep our Hill Country beautiful and safe,” said Will Coker, Signor Vineyards Manager. This local vineyard believes in giving back to those who put their lives on the line for the Hill Country.
