In the internet age, it’s hard to come up with a way to propose that hasn’t been done before. Flashmobs, proposing at sports games, and slipping a ring into a glass of champagne, while nice, can feel overdone for those who want to make a completely unique moment for their bride-to-be. El Paso Proud reports that one local man figured out a way to surprise his girlfriend with a little help from his trusty lowrider.

Erick Carrillo posted a video of his proposal on Instagram on December 19. At first, everyone plays it cool as his car hops up revealing a sign that says, “Will you marry me?” But his girlfriend was standing on the other side of the lowrider, so someone had to slyly suggest the couple take a photo underneath the standing vehicle. Watch the adorable moment unfold in the video below.

“The video was featured in Lowrider Magazine, received nearly two million views on The Shade Room, and was shared by comedian George Lopez,” El Paso Proud writes. The Instagram post has reached over 1,400 views.
