The area runs along side Cold Spring Creek. The area was originally settled by German immigrants in 1858 and is known for being one of the oldest communities in the county. It was a stagecoach stop between western forts and San Antonio.

The Loyal Valley Volunteer Fire Department throws a Guns and Crafts Show every year in order to raise money for the communities Fire Department. The show is held at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds. Come out and support Loyal Valley’s Volunteer Fire Department!
