Man Uses Fire to Style Hair in a Crazy, Unique Spectacle

Hair expert Shafqat Rajpoot from Pakistan is gaining notoriety for his unconventional way of styling hair. He sprays his secret formula onto hair, lights it ablaze, and then uses the fire as a styling tool.

In a video by AJ+, Rajpoot says he makes sure the fire won’t touch the client’s skin. He also says he understands the limitations and advantages of using flames. He won’t use the technique on people with thinning hair, but on those with lustrous locks, he says his special formula interacts with the flames creating bounce in each layer.

In another video, uploaded by CNN Shanghar, one can see how the fire burns off the formula causing the layers to rise to voluminous heights. Rajpoot finishes the experience with a super speedy cut.

The videos show all of Rajpoot’s clients with huge grins on their faces while the flames dance on their heads. Men don’t often have salon experiences marketed toward them, so the novelty, sense of controlled danger, and craziness of the sight make these haircuts much more interesting than a trip to Great Clips.
