Mardi Gras Texas Style Returns to Fair Park: A Texas-Size Celebration

If you can’t make it to New Orleans for this year’s Mardi Gras festivities, try the 19th annual Mardi Gras Texas Style! The music festival will be held inside the Automobile Building at Dallas historic Fair Park on February 22, 2020. The all-day, come rain or come shine event features twenty of the Lone Star State’s hottest country music acts.

These bands perform continuous music on five different stages in the spacious Automobile Building. Mardi Gras Texas Style is produced by B-Weiss Entertainment Group. The Josh Abbott Band, Aaron Watson, Flatland Cavalry, Shane Smith & the Saints, and many others are confirmed to attend. Festival goers will also enjoy Mardi Gras style eats, beer, and, of course, beads galore. Doors open at 2 p.m. central Saturday the 22nd.

Tickets for Mardi Gras Texas Style! are on sale now, or they can be purchased at the door. General admission tickets prices start at $38.75 but can go as high as $325 for special packages. For the ultimate Texas Mardi Gras experience, fans can purchase one of the exclusive VIP packages, starting at $74.50. The VIP packages include admission to the festival, cocktail service, private acoustic sets, on-site concierge, and more.

Performers include a Who’s Who list of emerging and established Texas acts, like the Josh Abbott Band, Aaron Watson, and Flatland Cavalry. Shane Smith & the Saints, Roger Creager, Josh Ward, and Josh Weathers are featured. Kody West, Kolby Cooper, Grady Spencer & the Work, and Chris Colston also perform.

Giovannie & the Hired Guns, Jacob Bryant, Tim Montana, and Frank Ray are featured performers. Triston Marez, Nick Hirsch, Dylan Wheeler, Colby Keeling, and Colton Rice also perform at the Mardi Gras party.

Fair Park is a 277-acre recreational and educational complex, immediately east of downtown Dallas. The park is registered as a Dallas Landmark and National Historic Landmark, with many buildings constructed for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition. Over 5.3 million people visit Fair Park annually to attend over 1200 special events. Fair Park hosts numerous sporting events, concerts, performances, and the State Fair of Texas.
