Television actress and former beauty queen, Margaret Ann Garza was found dead at her home in Round Rock, Texas, on May 30, 2017. The 31-year-old who most recently appeared in the AMC television series “The Son,” was attended by firefighters and medics when an emergency call was placed at 6:31 a.m. identifying that she wasn’t breathing.

Angelique Myers, a spokeswoman for the Round Rock Police Department, identified to the Statesman that police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Mathers Mill Trail that morning when it was found Garza was not responsive. When they arrived, medics and firefighters were at the scene. Her death is now under investigation, pending an autopsy.

Her obituary notes that she had a love of singing, modeling, acting, and pageantry, and in 2007, Garza was crowned Miss Texas Belleza Latina, following that with Miss Belleza Latina International in 2008. As well as her appearance in the AMC T.V. series “The Son,” she had a role in the movie “Mercury Plains” starring Scott Eastwood. She also featured in the movie “Pizza Joint,” which is premiering this month. She is survived by her parents, paternal grandparents, as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family, and close friends.
