For a town with an average population of 2,100, Mason sure has a lot going on. Located 40 miles north of Fredericksburg, it prides itself on maintaining a small town feel. Community is a way of life here, and as such, residents work tirelessly to put together various events for the whole area to enjoy. This weekend is gearing up to be a good one, with a mishmash of goings-on scheduled. Take a look at what this quaint Hill Country town has to offer.

March 31 – April 3  The First Annual Mason County Chamber Music Festival is tuning up to be a great one, with 4 days of music scheduled. From the student-only concert at Mason High School to the ticketed gala at historic Odeon Theater, patrons will find there is much to offer at this musical happening. April 2 – April 3  Benefiting the Loyal Valley Fire Department, these two events are a great way to show your support to local first responders. The Rattlesnake Round-Up will feature live snake exhibitions, while the Gun Show will have all sorts of weaponry available for sale or trade. $5 each event.
