There is a gigantic water attraction coming to North Texas! The giant water lagoon will be built in the Dallas suburb of Rowlett, Texas. The company building it, Crystal Lagoons, will be heading up the development, located at the old Robertson Park (Dalrock Road and I-30). The attraction, which will be called Bayside, will be the company’s 12th U.S. project.

The company has opened similar water attractions in places like Chile and Dubai, both of which feature huge lagoons of blue water for swimming and paddle boating, palm trees and a sandy beach. The $1 billion project in Rowlett is reportedly going to be the size of ten football fields.

Not only will there be a lagoon, but the site will also feature a resort, retail shops, a live entertainment venue and multiple restaurants.

Crystal Lagoons U.S. CEO, Uri Man, tells Fox 4, “We look forward to bringing Crystal Lagoons to Texas in partnership with Bayside Land Partners. Texas is one of the most important markets for us, and we are opening an office in the Lone Star State in order to serve the growing demand we have seen from the real estate community here.”

The water attraction is predicted to be a huge draw and stimulate the economy of the area. Crystal Lagoons is expected to break ground on Bayside on April 26th of this year.
