A meat recall has been issued by a Fort Worth meatpacker on close to 4 tons of ground beef products which contain soy although the allergen isn’t listed on any labels. The recall, by PFP Enterprises (also operating as Texas Meat Packers out of Fort Worth), was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Thursday, December 21.

The recall covers 40-pound cases of meat containing four 10-pound bags of what is described as “85/15 Ground Beef Bulk.” The item code is 4013 and they’ve been labeled Patterson Food Processors. It also covers 10-pound cases which contain two 5-pound bags of “85/15 Ground Beef Bulk” which has an item code of 4012 and is also labeled Patterson Food Processors.

These raw, frozen items had been produced on September 28 and have additional markings of “EST. 34715” inside their USDA mark of inspection. The USDA has not identified any reports of anyone falling ill as a result of consumption. Any recalled items which you find to be in your possession should be thrown out or returned to the store from which you made the purchase.
