Man Sticks a Small Painting on the Wall of the Met to Propose to His Girlfriend
A few days ago, a young man posted on Reddit about the unique and very special marriage proposal he dreamt up for his girlfriend. The two were planning on visiting New York City’s world-renowned museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) where he knew they would visit a room full of Picasso paintings since Picasso is one of his girlfriend’s favorite artists.
As they walked around the large room, his soon-to-be brother and sister in law swiftly placed a small painting on the wall. The piece featured a man on one knee proposing to a girl in a red polka dot dress, the exact dress he knew she would be wearing that day. “She began immediately crying when she realized that the painting was of what was about to take place. I bent the knee and she nodded yes as tears traveled down her rosy cheeks,” the future groom wrote on Reddit.
Like Bored Panda said, he might not be welcome back to the Met with open arms after this stunt, but at least he got the girl. See photos of the excited couple here. Her cousin, who happens to be a photographer, was waiting “undercover” at the museum until the special moment arrived to start snapping.
