Since 2009, Metallica hasn’t planned a long-haul tour, but now the band is back to take over stadiums across North America. The band is gearing up for its WorldWired Tour which will cover 25 cities. Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat will open for the majority of the shows.

The band premiered their newest song “Moth Into Flame” with the help of Lady Gaga during the Grammy’s, but singer James Hetfield’s microphone proved to be faulty for part of the song. Despite the setback, it was a blistering performance. Rolling Stone writes that “each ticket purchased for the WorldWired tour will come with either a digital or physical copy of Hardwired… to Self-Destruct.”

According to their website, the band will play Houston on June 11th at NRG Stadium, San Antonio on June 14th at the Alamodome, and Dallas on June 16th at the AT&T Stadium. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, but for mega-fans who aren’t afraid to spend $2500 can purchase the ultimate “tour experience.” The “Hardwired” experience includes a buffet, special merchandise, special entrance and standing area during the show, and of course, a meet and greet session backstage. Fans looking to spend a bit less can buy other additional “tour experiences,” though they’ll come with fewer perks.
