Motel 6 in Harris County Labeled a Nuisance By Police
The Motel 6 at Cypresswood and I-45 in Spring, Texas has been labeled a nuisance, and ABC 13 reports that Harris County has filed a lawsuit against the location. Over the past year, police have been called to the motel 320 times. “Officers have made numerous arrests for prostitution at this location as well as arrests for possession of illegal drugs, weapons, and violent crime,” the lawsuit reads. Harris County wants Motel 6 to install a gate around the property, have cameras running, and prohibit hourly customers.
Reviews of this specific Motel 6 location on Trip Advisor reflect the same worries that police have. One reviewer wrote that it was “…Unclean and possibly unsafe,” and another person stated that a strange man standing in the hallway tried to sell them drugs. The uploaded traveler photos show many bugs present in the rooms, as well.
To each negative review, Motel 6 left a standard apology, but 36 percent of Trip Advisor users left a “Terrible” rating. “This hotel was by far the worst I have ever been. Felt like I was scared to go to sleep. At night you thought you were going to get robbed. Random people standing around smoking selling drugs. People sleeping in the hallways…” cybergirl8283 wrote two years ago, and it doesn’t look like conditions have improved.
