By  |

Taking the whole entire family to these movies these days can cost you a lot of money, so why not try something a bit more friendly on your pocketbook? Many Texas Hill Country towns and surrounding areas offer movies in the park. Admission is free, they have great family activities before the movies start, and you get a chance to enjoy the great Texas outdoors under the stars.

Helotes, Texas is one such city that offers a great small town environment and evenings of family fun. Located at 12951 Bandera Road in Helotes, this movie theater under the stars is showing:

June 17, 2016 –  The Boxtrollers

July 15, 2016  – Goosebumps

August 19, 2016 – Minions

September 16, 2016 – Hotel Transylvania

Helotes’ Movies in the Park offers a free concert, bouncy slides, food vendors, and a free raffle prize drawing. The festivities will be held at the Green Arena behind City Hall, Helotes Municipal Complex. The concert starts at 7 p.m., and the events last until midnight. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks, and enjoy these popular movies under the stars. And, at this price, you can’t afford to not bring all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and even your neighbors!
