The second annual FiestaJAM on Lake Marble Falls, a two-day festival taking place on Oct. 16 and 17, will showcase the growing music and wine scenes in the Marble Falls/Burnet County area and will fill this beautiful Hill Country town with music and fun. The Texas Hill Country was ranked #3 on the 2014 Wine Enthusiast magazine list of top wine travel destinations in the world, surpassing Sonoma, California and several locations in Europe. Come taste the products of area vineyards, such as Fall Creek Vineyard, Flat Creek Estate, Spicewood Vineyards, and local craft breweries such as Double Horn Brewing Co. and Twisted X Brewing Co.

Internationally known area bands, such as Cory Morrow, The Wilson String Band, John Arthur Martinez & Tejas, Zach Nytomt, and others, will perform over the course of the two-day festival. Vintner Rick Naber promises, “Exceptional music, wine and beer, plus the wonderful Lake Marble Falls setting are the ingredients for a perfect fall weekend.”

FiestaJAM also raises funds for music programs in Marble Falls Independent School District and the nonprofit Harmony School of Creative Arts. Musical artist john Arthur Martinez co-founded FiestaJAM with Grammy-nominated conductor/producer Robert Linder. Martinez says, “With so much musical talent around me, from Grammy-winning performers and songwriters to amazing unknowns, I wanted to celebrate this vast array of talent and to give back to the next generation of musical dreamers.”

Festival Activities

In addition, a new sculpture by renowned local artist Dan Pogue will be dedicated as part of the festivities. FiestaJAM organizers and the community joined forces to provide funding for the statue of long-time Marble Falls resident and western-swing/honky-tonk pioneer Floyd Tillman, an inductee in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Festival activities will center on Lakeside Park, 307 Buena Vista, Marble Falls, TX. Friday’s highlights include dedication of the statue, a VIP reception catered by RBar Grill, and, of course, music. Saturday is a day of music and tastings, against the backdrop of beautiful Lake Marble Falls. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.fiestajam.org or by calling 800-514-3849. They can also be purchased at The Pavilion in Lakeside Park.
