MyPillow Has Received an ‘F’ From the BBB
In the MyPillow commercial, product inventor Mike Lindell says, “I can personally guarantee it’s going to be the most comfortable pillow you’ll ever own.” The ad shows a plush pillow staying puffy throughout the night and somehow shrinking down flat to fit into a suitcase. But these aren’t the aspects that the Better Business Bureru is upset about. The BBB has taken aim at MyPillow’s BOGO offer.
Since MyPillow has offered a “buy one get one free” sale for extended amounts of time, the BBB sees it as a manipulation to try to sell the product when in actuality, this has become their new price, not a limited sale. Lindell says he will look into making a change concerning this sometime in 2017.
For now, MyPillow has an F rating with the BBB and lost their accreditation. Other issues with the company regard mislabeling on their boxes and advertising for a “full warranty” that wasn’t really full, meaning customers had to pay a fee to return the product.
WFAA also reports that “consumer watchdog organization said MyPillow’s website made unsubstantiated claims its products can cure snoring, migraines, fibromyalgia, and other health maladies.” The company paid a fine to settle the claim, but says it’s not an admission of guilt.
